Engineer II - CAD (Grid Engineer)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States; onsite role. Travel: 0%–25%.

What you will do

• Evaluate clustered compute systems and improve performance, scalability, and utilization.
• Support end users running simulations and promote best practices across the user community.
• Design, develop, maintain, tune, and monitor software for EDA workloads running on the compute grid.
• Create and maintain documentation for compute grid infrastructure and EDA workflows.
• Research software and systems technologies to support technical recommendations and purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain secure, stable, and optimized grid operations.

Requirements

• At least 2.5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or High-Performance Computing.
• Hands-on experience with job schedulers such as LSF, SGE, RTDA, SLURM, or similar systems.
• Strong proficiency with Unix/Linux operating systems and file systems.
• Programming or scripting experience with csh, Bash, Perl, Python, Tcl, and/or C/C++.
• Experience with EDA tools and suites from Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organizational, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• DevOps or Git/Jenkins workflow experience.
• Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence frameworks such as LLMs or TensorFlow.
