Senior Software Architect (RISC-V Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Define the end-to-end software architecture for the next-generation 64-bit multiprocessor RISC-V SoC-PIC64 platform.
• Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, requirements management, and end-to-end traceability.
• Lead architecture and technical review forums while mentoring engineering teams.
• Oversee software design, implementation, lifecycle records, and verification evidence.
• Represent the architecture in customer discussions and collaborate with Marketing and Applications teams on the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Extensive experience architecting high-reliability embedded software platforms from scratch.
• Background in avionics or automotive development, including requirements traceability and evidence-based delivery.
• Strong expertise in RTOS, multiprocessor architectures, and low-level programming with C/C++ and Python.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineering teams and communicate complex technical concepts to customers.
• Experience with Linux or RTOS-based embedded systems and strict real-time, performance, and security requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DO-178C/ED-12C or ISO 26262/ASPICE.
• Hands-on experience with RISC-V architectures and embedded Linux in mixed-workload systems.
• Experience in systems engineering and hardware/software co-development workflows.
• Interest in using AI-assisted tools for development, review, and documentation.
