Technical Business Analyst

Location: London, United Kingdom; 2–3 days a week on site

What you will do

• Gather and refine business and technical requirements with product managers, client delivery leads, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications, user stories, process flows, data models, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure requirements are understood and correctly implemented.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Participate in design authority and change control processes, assessing dependencies, requirement changes, and design risks.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements elicitation sessions while improving documentation and traceability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar technology-focused business analyst role.
• Strong understanding of software development practices, particularly Agile and Scrum.
• Experience producing technical documentation, including user stories, process flows, requirements, and data models.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and requirements elicitation skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with developers, testers, product managers, and client stakeholders.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and requirements management tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain or Distributed Ledger Technology platforms.
• Financial services experience, particularly in capital markets, post-trade, or financial technology.
• Understanding of data modelling, APIs, interface specifications, JSON, or API specifications.
• Exposure to enterprise architecture, design governance, or technical design authority processes.
• Experience with complex, highly integrated technology platforms.
