Associate Director, Middle Office Solutions, Collateral Management Specialist

Location: New York City, hybrid

Salary: USD 90,000–190,000 base salary annually, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership and subject matter expertise in buy-side collateral management, including initial margin, variation margin, collateral optimization, dispute management, and margin settlements.
• Advise on Uncleared Margin Rules, ISDA SIMM, regulatory margin requirements, and industry best practices.
• Lead AANA calculations, assessments, and reporting, and monitor regulatory developments and their impact on business, operational, and technology platforms.
• Support client and counterparty onboarding, account setup, custodial relationships, and collateral documentation initiatives.
• Lead business analysis for collateral management and middle-office technology platforms, including requirements definition and prioritization.
• Oversee reconciliation, trade support, operational break resolution, collateral disputes, controls, and service-level standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in collateral management, middle-office operations, derivatives operations, securities operations, or capital markets.
• Knowledge of UMR regulations, AANA calculations, initial and variation margin processes, ISDA SIMM, AcadiaSoft, OTC derivatives, and securities products.
• Experience developing business requirements and leading technology enhancement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, reconciliation, settlements, and operational controls.
