Margins and Collateral Specialist (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: USD 100,000–130,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Execute daily collateral operations, including margin data management, reconciliation, and dispute handling.
• Support margin replication, cost-of-capital analytics, and reconciliation workflows with internal stakeholders.
• Architect and maintain a centralized platform for storing external margin and collateral data.
• Document margin mappings and controls and support onboarding of new counterparties.
• Ensure counterparty data integrations align with system architecture.
• Monitor evolving margin models and broker reporting practices and translate them into scalable internal systems.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in collateral, margin, or treasury functions.
• Strong understanding of margining practices and products, including OTC derivatives, futures, and cleared swaps.
• Ability to design and optimize tools in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Analytical, detail-oriented approach with a strong understanding of the importance of accurate margin data for risk, funding, and capital management.
• Clear communication, strong documentation habits, and effective cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SQL and/or Python.
