Associate Director, Clearing Operations (Fintech)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's Global HQ in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Support daily clearing and settlement across DTC, CNS, and non-CNS markets for retail and institutional businesses.
• Process DTC settlement functions, ACAT and non-ACAT transfers, allocations, affirmations, confirmations, journals, and post-trade activities.
• Manage settlement exceptions, fails, buy-ins, Obligation Warehouse processing, CTM exceptions, and money differences.
• Perform daily trade, cash, position, and securities reconciliations across internal books, DTC, depositories, transfer agents, and counterparties.
• Protect customer fully paid securities through segregation and possession-and-control procedures under SEC Rule 15c3-3.
• Drive operational improvements through automation, process redesign, risk assessments, reporting, documentation, and cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in broker-dealer clearing, settlement, or operations.
• Active FINRA Series 99 and/or Series 7 and Series 24 licenses, or the ability to obtain required licenses within 180 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of DTCC settlement, including CNS and non-CNS environments, fails management, buy-ins, CTM, and operational reconciliations.
• Experience with institutional trade processing and platforms such as Broadridge, Apex, FIS Phase 3, or comparable systems.
• Experience in omnibus clearing and/or self-clearing broker-dealer environments.
