Web Application Developer - Defense (React/TypeScript)

Location: Washington, D.C.; on-site work from an office is required

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Design, architect, and develop frontend applications for defense operations and mission-critical workflows.
• Build collaborative geospatial workflows, real-time collaboration tools, and data-analysis solutions.
• Develop interfaces that make sophisticated, data-intensive workflows accessible to technical and non-technical users.
• Own the APIs and schemas powering frontend applications and develop them with backend engineers.
• Participate throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation, design, and prototyping through execution and release.
• Work with users and product designers to identify needs, improve workflows, and address complex UX challenges.

Requirements

• 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong frontend coding skills, including proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of web technologies.
• Experience or equivalent understanding of algorithms, performance, and systems design; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is accepted.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US security clearance.
• Ability to work independently, learn new technologies, and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience with 2D or 3D mapping, high-scale graphics rendering, type theory, operational transforms, or UI design systems.
