Principal Engineer-Analog Design (Mixed-Signal CMOS)

Location: CA - San Jose - Fortune Dr (Micrel R&D), United States

Annual base salary: $73,304–$163,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Design analog and mixed-signal building blocks such as bias references, voltage regulators, PLLs, ADCs, DACs, operational amplifiers, filters, and high-speed SerDes.
• Simulate circuit designs using CAD tools and perform mixed-signal simulations.
• Verify functionality and performance at module and system levels with other team members.
• Guide layout designers on high-speed circuit performance and design-rule compliance.
• Document designs and simulation results and conduct design reviews.
• Operate laboratory equipment to validate silicon against chip and system specifications.

Requirements

• BS degree required; MSEE preferred.
• 10+ years of analog design experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience in mixed-signal CMOS circuit design.
• Experience with Cadence Design Environment and circuit simulators.
• Experience with nanometer processes and FinFET transistor circuit design.
• Ability to work regular business hours with approximately 70% sitting, 15% standing, and 15% walking.
