Senior HITL Technician I (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States

Salary: $37–$47 USD per hour in California

What you will do

• Fabricate, assemble, and test high-quality, high-reliability harnessing.
• Build, integrate, modify, and check out hardware-in-the-loop test racks, including equipment installation, cable routing, and harness integration.
• Work hands-on with test and flight hardware and collaborate with engineering, test, and spacecraft teams.
• Contribute to rack layouts, equipment arrangement, prototype designs, and buildability improvements.
• Maintain and redline system diagrams, schematics, ICDs, procedures, and test or anomaly reports.
• Identify and communicate buildability, maintainability, serviceability, integration, and test risks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience in harness fabrication, rack assembly, test systems, or a similar technical environment.
• Hands-on experience with harness manufacturing, rack assembly, rack integration, cable routing, and equipment arrangement.
• Ability to follow quality inspection and manufacturing work instructions precisely.
• Ability to read and interpret system diagrams, schematics, CAD drawings, ICDs, procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience performing continuity, pinout, and visual inspections, with an understanding of standard ESD practices.
• U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements. U.S. office employees must meet applicable ITAR authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Relevant trade qualification or experience creating technical documentation.
• Experience with DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network devices, Ethernet, fiber, servers, routers, switches, or PLCs.
• Basic Python and Linux scripting, precision soldering, or experience with spacecraft, HITL/PIL, or autonomous systems.
• TS/SCI clearance and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and web-based applications.
