Facilities HVAC Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite support for the Tempe campus and additional offsite locations

Salary: $73,000–$116,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $91,000–$137,000 annually.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and other building systems and equipment.
• Operate building automation systems, including Trane SC, Delta, and Automated Logic Controls.
• Manage maintenance work orders through a computer-based maintenance management system.
• Read blueprints, technical drawings, manuals, and electronic or mechanical schematics to maintain and repair equipment.
• Coordinate, supervise, and escort subcontractors while supporting HVAC mechanics, electricians, and plumbing assignments.
• Install or relocate modular furniture and lab benches, operate tools and material-handling machinery, and provide on-call support.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair work.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, time-management, and customer-service skills.
• Experience with clean rooms, facilities equipment, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tools, and computer-based work-order systems.
• Ability to work on-call after hours and weekends, travel up to 10%, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• US Citizenship is required.
