QA Test Engineering Lead (AI)

Location: On-site in Southlake, Texas, United States. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: USD $112,000–$153,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a QA and Test Engineering team supporting backend services, APIs, integrated systems, and enterprise-scale Java and .NET applications.
• Define and improve functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing strategies.
• Advance UI and API test automation using Selenium, RestAssured, and modern quality engineering practices.
• Drive AI-powered testing tools, intelligent automation, and AI agents that streamline quality engineering workflows.
• Partner with product owners, architects, developers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Improve test coverage, defect analysis, quality metrics, and release readiness through data-driven practices.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or quality engineering, including 2+ years leading, mentoring, or managing QA/Test Engineering teams.
• Deep experience testing Java and/or .NET applications, backend services, APIs, and integrated systems.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, RestAssured, BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow, and Gherkin scenarios.
• Experience defining test strategies across functional, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT and developing AI-enabled workflow automation solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or ISTQB certification.
• Experience with JMeter or Gatling, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Agile, or SAFe.
• Background in financial services, regulated industries, or high-availability environments.
• Experience establishing quality metrics, dashboards, executive reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
