Associate Software Engineer (AWS/ETL)

Salary: CAD 54,000–89,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, test, maintain, and support enterprise applications, data integration solutions, and ETL pipelines.
• Build and maintain code, scripts, automation tools, APIs, and data integration components.
• Develop, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot ETL jobs using AWS Glue, Informatica IDMC/IICS, and related orchestration tools.
• Support AML monitoring, financial crime investigations, regulatory reporting, and data management applications.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, incident resolution, and production troubleshooting.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, documentation, cross-functional collaboration, security and change management, and rotational on-call support.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of Java, Python, C#, or a similar programming language.
• Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases, data manipulation, and ETL concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AWS environments and services such as AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Exposure to batch processing, job scheduling, workflow orchestration, ETL monitoring, scripting, automation, or API development.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, software development lifecycle concepts, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills, with willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial systems, enterprise applications, AML, financial crime, compliance, regulatory reporting, risk management, or financial services.
• Experience with Informatica IDMC/IICS, AWS Glue, Taskflows, AWS Glue Workflows, or AutoSys.
• Experience supporting data pipelines, batch jobs, file processing, data quality checks, or reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, Power BI, automation frameworks, or workflow tools.
