Senior Legal Process Engineer (LegalTech)

What you will do

• Lead discovery of end-to-end legal workflows across corporate, regulatory, and transactional practice areas.
• Map data flows, document ownership, user personas, and legal process logic for internal and client-facing solutions.
• Identify opportunities for digitization, automation, AI integration, and alignment with existing product platforms.
• Create workflow diagrams, process maps, journey maps, wireframes, and early-stage solution concepts using Miro, Lucidchart, and Figma.
• Support AI and automation initiatives by documenting requirements, mapping logic, and preparing handoffs to product and engineering teams.
• Partner with product managers, UX designers, engineers, business analysts, and legal practitioners throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in legal process design, practice innovation, legal technology, or legal process engineering.
• Deep understanding of legal practice workflows and experience working directly with attorneys, paralegals, or Knowledge Management teams.
• Experience leading discovery sessions, mapping and re-engineering processes, and designing actionable solution paths.
• Experience with Agile or Lean product development and cross-functional collaboration with product, UX, and engineering teams.
• High proficiency with workflow visualization and storytelling tools, including Miro, Figma, or Lucidchart.
• Experience supporting AI, automation, or digital tool initiatives in legal or professional services environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or Juris Doctorate, or equivalent.
• Product management, business analysis, or design thinking experience or certification.
• Awareness of data strategy and legal AI concepts.
• Experience in an AMLAW 200 law firm or an in-house legal department with more than 50 attorneys.
