Senior Counsel, Commercial - Americas (Cloud/AI)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States. The role supports U.S. West teams and requires comfort working across U.S. time zones. Access to export-controlled information requires eligibility under applicable U.S. Government export regulations.

Salary: $157,000–$210,000 annual base salary, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial technology agreements covering cloud services, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, software licensing, professional services, partnerships, and data processing.
• Support enterprise sales cycles and customer transactions for the U.S. West region.
• Advise sales leaders, account executives, and internal stakeholders on legal, privacy, and commercial risks.
• Manage multiple high-value transactions while balancing legal risk, business objectives, and operational efficiency.
• Identify and escalate novel or high-risk issues and coordinate with outside counsel when needed.
• Develop contract templates, playbooks, policies, and workflows that scale repeatable deal execution.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 8+ years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house at a fast-paced technology company.
• Substantial commercial and complex technology contracting experience across cloud, AI, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS.
• Experience with complex, high-value, or infrastructure-heavy transactions in and outside the United States; cross-border deal experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, independent judgment, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience advising senior business leaders and improving contract processes, templates, and playbooks.
