Lead Software Developer (Fintech)

Location: Mississauga, Canada; hybrid work model. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and, where applicable, provide a valid work or study permit.

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Establish the technical vision and direction for major software components and systems.
• Provide technical direction for derivatives portfolio management and accounting within the Singularity product.
• Design scalable, robust, and maintainable systems aligned with long-term business goals.
• Develop critical and complex software components through hands-on coding.
• Solve challenging technical problems and prevent future system issues.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and engineering managers on technical specifications and timelines.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience as a hands-on software engineer.
• Deep expertise in multiple programming languages, frameworks, software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.
• Strong technical leadership and influence without direct people-management responsibility.
• Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to mentor junior and mid-level engineers and conduct code reviews.
