Principal Engineer-Quality

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States. US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status is required for access to ITAR-controlled technology.

Annual base salary: $75,000–$232,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Act as the primary quality liaison for suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Resolve quality issues, lead corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods for conformance.
• Track quality metrics and non-conformances and recommend improvements.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits against ISO9001 and company standards.
• Support supplier onboarding, AS9102 First Article Inspections, staff training, and cross-functional quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status required for the ITAR site and export-controlled work.
• Willingness to travel to suppliers and customers; expected travel is 0%–25%.
