Engineering Manager, Self-Service Upgrades

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office work is required.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end engineering for backend services, REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, on-box workflows, and release tools supporting safe, non-disruptive upgrades.
• Own the strategy and execution of the core upgrade platform across FlashArray and FlashBlade ecosystems.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Release Engineering, Technical Services, Forensics, and other platform stakeholders to align roadmaps and resolve technical trade-offs.
• Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team with clear ownership and accountability.
• Set standards for observability, automated testing, incident response, and security compliance across connected and air-gapped environments.
• Identify dependencies, technical bottlenecks, and operational risks while driving platform milestones through the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Experience guiding, developing, and managing high-performing software engineering teams.
• Software engineering background building high-throughput distributed systems and customer-facing software.
• Technical credibility to guide architecture reviews, resolve trade-offs, and support sound engineering decisions.
• Experience collaborating across geographically distributed engineering, product, architecture, and security teams.
• Track record of delivering complex customer-facing products through the full development lifecycle using pragmatic Agile practices.
• Ability to work from the Prague office in accordance with company policies.
