Manager, Compute Services (Azure)

Location: Remote from the US; US GA home office. Travel up to 10% to manufacturing plants may be required. Ability to work in a 24/7 environment is required.

What you will do

• Lead the Data Center Services and Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Operations teams.
• Develop technology roadmaps for compute, virtualization, storage, backup, and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Oversee the design, implementation, security, lifecycle management, and modernization of on-premises and Azure compute environments.
• Drive monitoring, automation, capacity planning, standardization, and continuous operational improvement.
• Manage vendors, contracts, procurement, budgets, demand planning, project prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Oversee Build-to-Run service transitions and provide escalation support for complex incidents, problems, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience covering compute, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing technical teams.
• Experience with VMware, Nutanix AHV, hybrid cloud architectures, Azure compute services, landing zones, automation, cloud governance, and FinOps.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, authentication, identity integration, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, procurement, project and process management, and ITIL practices.
• Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
