Engineering Manager / Lead (Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, with onsite work at least 3 days per week in San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney, or Tokyo, where the workplace policy applies

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team of 8–10 engineers.
• Design and develop infrastructure solutions with strong scalability, performance, reliability, and usability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Oversee the complete product development cycle from design through release.
• Establish software development practices including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Coordinate cross-functional work and set first-year objectives for team growth, feature delivery, product quality, and performance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience focused on cloud-native infrastructure and data management platforms.
• Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Hands-on expertise in Python, Golang, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of software development processes, project management tools, and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM; KVM is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to solve complex problems across multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed software systems.
• Experience with hypervisors, containers, container orchestration, and hybrid or multicloud environments.
