Senior Technician-Facilities (Instrumentation and Controls)

Location: Gresham, Oregon, United States; onsite at the Fab 4 facility. Compressed front night shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday, 6:00 PM–6:15 AM.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain facilities controls systems, buildings, and equipment within cleanroom quality parameters and environmental discharge permit limits.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs for instrumentation and control systems.
• Respond to site life-safety and control-system alarms.
• Support instrumentation configuration and programming, and maintain technical documents and reports.
• Collaborate with shift members, customers, engineering, supervisors, and management to resolve controls-related issues.
• Improve operations and maintenance activities, system performance, efficiency, consistency, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of industrial facility operations and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, computer automation, plant, and cleanroom systems.
• Experience with process-control loop calibration and troubleshooting, including pH, resistivity, conductivity, flow, temperature, humidity, pressure, and level transmitters.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, preventive-maintenance software, and automated building-control systems.
• Must participate in the Fab 4 Emergency Response Team, pass physical, fit-test, and medical-clearance requirements for a tight-fitting SCBA full-face respirator, and maintain the related physical requirements.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GE Fanuc 90/30, Allen Bradley SLC500 and Series 5 PLCs, and GE Cimplicity HMI.
• Ability to work independently, learn new technical systems, cover shifts, and travel for training.
