Location: Onsite in Orangeville, Utah, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

What you will do

  • Install, calibrate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot flow, pressure, temperature, level, analytical, and other field instrumentation.
  • Calibrate and maintain control valves, actuators, positioners, and regulators, including bench and in-situ testing.
  • Plan and lead commissioning activities, including loop checks, functional testing, punch-list closure, and system turnover to operations.
  • Supervise I&C technicians and direct contractor and vendor crews performing installation and commissioning work.
  • Manage the instrument calibration program, test equipment, standards, traceability, and calibration records.
  • Support plant startup, safety instrumented system testing, field documentation, troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, recognized instrumentation or electrical apprenticeship, military nuclear or electronics technician training, or equivalent hands-on I&C experience.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on I&C experience in process, chemical, power, or nuclear facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading commissioning activities, loop checks, functional testing, punch-list closure, and system turnover.
  • Expertise in calibrating and troubleshooting field instrumentation and maintaining control valves, actuators, and positioners.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, wiring schematics, and instrument data sheets.
  • Working knowledge of HART communicators, calibration equipment, field wiring, hazardous-area requirements, intrinsic safety, and technician supervision.

Nice to have

  • ISA CCST Level II or III certification, journeyman electrician license, or state instrumentation certification.
  • Experience with instrument asset management systems, analytical or radiation monitoring instrumentation, and nuclear-qualified equipment.
  • Experience in DOE or NRC-regulated facilities under NQA-1 or 10 CFR 50 Appendix B quality programs.
  • Experience with safety instrumented systems, PLC and SCADA systems, CMMS platforms, cleanrooms, gloveboxes, or contamination-controlled environments.
