Senior, Technical Accounting and Reporting (Aerospace)

Location: North Austin, Texas, United States. ITAR eligibility requires U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

What you will do

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Research and apply accounting standards for revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, and complex transactions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting.
• Provide variance analysis, financial commentary, and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Develop and improve internal controls over financial reporting and support audit readiness.
• Collaborate with FP&A and non-finance teams on accounting processes and financial information quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is preferred.
• At least three years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or public company experience.
• Experience with technical accounting research, complex transactions, public company reporting, documentation, and audit requirements.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, time management, mentoring, and development skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Big Four public accounting experience.
• Manufacturing industry accounting experience.
• Master's degree in accounting or a related business field.
