Associate Director, Fund Accounting

Location: Hybrid in Mississauga or Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 75,000–124,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage multiple client engagements and supervise client service teams to meet deliverables.
• Review transaction documentation, work papers, general ledgers, financial statements, and investment accounting records.
• Review capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, management fees, and investor allocations.
• Review capital call and distribution calculations, cash sources and uses, allocations, and investor notices.
• Update and review distribution waterfall and carried interest models according to fund terms.
• Manage direct reports, provide performance feedback, and guide team development and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 7 years of accounting experience focused on alternative investment funds.
• Significant mutual fund or investment accounting experience, including US and international investment characteristics.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.
