Senior Propulsion and Fluids Test Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own propulsion components and fluid systems from concept through qualification and production.
• Design, build, and operate test setups to validate hardware performance.
• Plan and execute test campaigns, including instrumentation, data acquisition, data collection, and analysis.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and support development, qualification, and production activities.
• Review and approve test plans and reports while guiding risk-based engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain a systems-level perspective, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and testing propulsion, fluid, or other high-performance hardware.
• Strong hands-on experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and test execution.
• Experience across the full development lifecycle, from requirements through production.
• Ability to make sound, first-principles engineering decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Experience with LabVIEW or similar tools and data analysis software.
• For New Zealand roles, eligibility to access equipment and data regulated by U.S. ITAR is required; nationality and background checks will be conducted.

Nice to have

• Experience with aerospace testing, including vibration, thermal, vacuum, leak, or life testing.
• Python experience for data analysis or modelling.
• Master’s degree or PhD.
