GSS Government Aviation - Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Carlsbad, California, United States

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $149,500–$224,500 annually.

What you will do

• Manage government aviation programs from conception through completion and align execution with strategic objectives.
• Manage customer contracts and serve as the primary programmatic contact for government customers.
• Work with Business Development and customers to define system requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Contracts, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to deliver practical solutions.
• Drive program gate processes, contractual requirements, customer communications, and on-time delivery.
• Support program lifecycle execution and business area growth, with travel of up to 50% within and outside the continental United States.

Requirements

• 5+ years of multifaceted program management experience supporting government organizations.
• Experience with aerospace engineering and aircraft certification.
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and delivering contractual requirements on time.
• Ability to present technical and programmatic details at an abstracted, customer-facing level.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject area or equivalent experience.
• US citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance are required for this US Government position.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a technical or business subject area.
• 7+ years of experience with satellite communications systems.
• Experience delivering communications systems for aviation customers, including platform integration.
• Experience with WGS certification requirements, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275, DO-160, and RMF.
