Technical Program Manager - US Government

Location: Washington, D.C.; On-site work from a hirify.global office is required

Salary: $93,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Connect internal teams with government program offices, implementation teams, and industry partners.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, requirements documentation, capability briefs, and other program artifacts.
• Translate technical capabilities and implementation progress into concise, decision-oriented briefs for customers, partners, and senior leaders.
• Map product strategy to team tasks, triage field requests, and escalate issues requiring immediate attention.
• Track project status, proactively resolve risks, and improve cross-team coordination.
• Navigate complex multi-party program dynamics and identify opportunities to increase customer impact.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience, preferably supporting complex government, defense, aerospace, or national security programs.
• Demonstrated success managing complex software development projects for an enterprise software company or startup.
• Active Secret clearance required at minimum; TS/SCI strongly preferred.
• Ability to engage in technical discussions and learn technical concepts.
• Strong judgment, composure in high-pressure situations, attention to detail, and customer empathy.
• Ability to travel up to 75% based on program and customer needs.

Nice to have

• Missile or missile defense experience, especially supporting the Missile Defense Agency.
• Experience with lightweight project-management frameworks and rapid iteration.
