Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, Enterprise (Enterprise Storage)

Location: Miami, Florida; remote designation indicated

Annual base salary: $141,400–$212,100 USD, with possible incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Understand customer business drivers and connect hirify.global and ecosystem technologies to measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with account managers, specialists, channel partners, and technical marketing to support revenue growth and alliance objectives.
• Provide technical leadership on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive DAS, NAS, and SAN solutions.
• Lead evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, interoperability testing, and performance validation.
• Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations, capture requirements, and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses while tracking competitors, market trends, and solution positioning.

Requirements

• Required pre-sales experience and at least 5 years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
• Deep knowledge of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures.
• Strong knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, distributed computing, storage subsystems, and distributed network environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, containers, VMware, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and networking.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience selling enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
• Familiarity with LAMP, AWS Well-Architected Framework, scale-out and scale-up architectures, microservices, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and storage-intensive SQL or Oracle applications.
• Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
