Maintenance Technician 2

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA; onsite, Elkton day shift

Salary: $26–$28 per hour

What you will do

• Troubleshoot hard-down equipment, perform line triage, and implement repair, upkeep, and modification solutions.
• Mentor and guide Level 1 maintenance technicians.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with equipment installation, de-installation, and upgrades under supervision.
• Complete projects assigned by senior technicians and maintenance leadership to improve area and department efficiency.
• Document maintenance activities in checklists and tracking systems, including MES and I2DS.
• Learn and support equipment across Assembly, Test Tape and Reel, and ZC areas, including dicing saws, epoxy printers, grinders, plasma etchers, metal plate lines, RO water systems, MIE test equipment, and Merlin die attach equipment.

Requirements

• 2–5 or more years of hands-on industry experience in a related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, electricity, electronic components, and mechanical and electronics troubleshooting.
• Ability to use multimeters and ohmmeters and coordinate with field service engineers and vendors during repairs.
• Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong teamwork, independent work, time management, and adaptability skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a 3–4 day per week schedule.

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of motor controls, PLCs, or power distribution systems.
• Experience in semiconductor fabrication, equipment qualification, or preventive maintenance programs.
