Senior Principal, Internal Audit, IT

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time role with domestic and international travel as needed.

Salary: $159,000–$211,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Establish and lead the global IT Internal Audit strategy, vision, operating model, governance framework, and multi-year roadmap.
• Build a technology assurance and advisory function, including audit methodologies, risk assessments, quality programs, and technology enablement.
• Develop the enterprise IT risk assessment framework and audit universe across infrastructure, cloud, ERP, cybersecurity, operational technology, manufacturing automation, digital solutions, and third-party ecosystems.
• Lead IT SOX governance and assurance, including control design, testing strategies, remediation, and coordination with external auditors.
• Advise executives on technology risk, cybersecurity governance, data governance, AI and GenAI assurance, control maturity, and strategic risk mitigation.
• Advance continuous auditing, data analytics, automation, AI-enabled auditing, and risk-monitoring solutions while designing the future-state IT audit organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, accounting, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in IT audit, internal audit, technology risk, cybersecurity assurance, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing and leading enterprise-wide technology risk, audit, compliance, or assurance programs in complex global organizations.
• Deep knowledge of technology risk management, IT general controls, cybersecurity, cloud environments, ERP platforms, data governance, and emerging technology risks.
• Strong executive presence and experience presenting audit results, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business administration, information systems, cybersecurity, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, life sciences, or global industrial organizations.
• Experience with continuous auditing, advanced analytics, automation, AI-enabled assurance, AI governance, and GenAI risk management.
• CISA, CIA, CPA, CISSP, CRISC, or CISM certification.
