Fuels Licensing Manager (Nuclear)

Location: Santa Clara, California, or remote within the United States. Remote employees must travel to the Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter based on business or team needs, and must work onsite for the first two weeks of onboarding. Only applicants who meet the definition of a U.S. person under applicable U.S. export control laws may be eligible.

Salary: $50,000–$166,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documents, programs, and supporting activities for fuel fabrication and recycling technologies.
• Develop engineering and licensing requirements and documentation for nuclear systems and components.
• Coordinate with design engineers to ensure new designs and design changes meet regulatory requirements.
• Support project management of licensing activities, submissions, schedules, and milestones.
• Coordinate with the nuclear regulator on regulatory and planning matters.
• Prepare and defend licensing positions, deliver presentations, and lead resolution of strategic licensing issues.

Requirements

• BS in engineering from an accredited college or university, or related experience.
• Knowledge of 10 CFR 70, NRC Regulatory Guides, and other nuclear regulatory guidance.
• Experience coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent technical writing ability.
• Eligibility as a U.S. person may be required because the role may involve U.S. export-controlled information.
