Director, Workstation Platform Engineering

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado, United States of America. Relocation support is available. Travel: 25%.

Salary: $174,050–$278,450 USD annually, plus potential bonus and/or equity for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead multiple workstation programs, including new platforms, refreshes, sustaining engineering, and customer-driven adaptations.
• Own execution from architecture alignment and design readiness through validation, manufacturing ramp, product launch, and post-launch quality.
• Lead senior managers and engineering organizations across hardware, firmware, validation, performance, OS enablement, and platform integration.
• Set strategies for board and system design, performance, power delivery, thermal solutions, quality, and reliability.
• Manage ODM and supplier relationships, including sourcing models and executive escalations involving quality, cost, schedule, and manufacturability.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, security certifications, customer escalations, multi-million-dollar R&D budgets, and portfolio investment decisions.

Requirements

• Senior engineering leadership experience in hardware, systems, or platform engineering.
• Proven success leading large, multidisciplinary engineering organizations through complex product cycles.
• Strategic leadership ability within a technical environment and strong executive communication skills.
• Experience influencing VP, Senior VP, and GM-level stakeholders.
• 15+ years of experience in the computer hardware delivery industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
