Director, Platform Engineering (AI)

Location: Irvine, California, United States

Salary: USD $171,300–$299,800 per year, with potential additional merit increases, bonuses, sales incentives, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead SRE, DevOps, performance engineering, and release management across the Global Platform Technology organization.
• Own platform stability, reliability, performance, SLO compliance, release cadence, and operational quality.
• Drive an AI and automation transformation toward predictive monitoring, automated remediation, self-healing infrastructure, and touchless CI/CD pipelines.
• Build self-service developer platforms for environment provisioning, deployments, and release management.
• Lead load, stress, scalability, and continuous performance testing, including FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
• Build and develop a high-performing organization of leaders and associates through significant operational change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience and leadership experience at director level or equivalent.
• Experience across SRE, DevOps, performance engineering, and/or release management, including transformation through AI and automation.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD, infrastructure automation, self-service developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, and FinOps.
• Strong knowledge of observability, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and people leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Experience applying AI and ML to predictive monitoring, automated remediation, intelligent pipelines, or risk-based release management.
• Experience in a large-scale, global technology organization.
