Salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

  • Own the development of storable liquid bipropellant thrusters and related subsystems.
  • Design, analyze, implement, and operate propulsion hardware for spacecraft and lander applications.
  • Conduct analysis and testing to verify hardware performance and functionality.
  • Prepare, plan, and execute tests, including engine hotfire testing.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to deliver reliable integrated systems.
  • Resolve technical issues and lead propulsion projects or small engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
  • 8+ years of experience in aerospace propulsion.
  • Hands-on experience with bipropellant rocket engines, combustion devices, and propulsion testing.
  • Knowledge of fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics, and materials.
  • Ability to perform thermal-fluid system trades, materials selection, and work with fluid, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
  • Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain a U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment and technical leadership of propulsion development programs.
  • Experience with ignition systems, nitrous oxide propellant, CAD tools, and aerospace structural analysis standards.
