Location: Full-time onsite in Long Beach, California, with an average of 25% travel to test and launch sites. Rotating first- and second-shift schedules and occasional weekend work may be required.
Salary: $132,000β$198,000 USD annually, plus equity.

What you will do
- Act as the Responsible Engineer for propulsion test articles on the integrated engine test team.
- Develop test plans with product owners and execute test campaigns with the Stennis test team.
- Own exploratory operation and evaluation of new and existing test article designs for engine development and certification.
- Write test sequences and code, review test data, perform hands-on work with test articles, sit at the console for hotfire tests, and design tooling.
- Support engine subsystem troubleshooting, product investigations, system analysis, simulation, and trade studies.
- Lead efficiency projects and potentially contribute to stage testing, launch operations, and flight concepts of operations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in complex engineering system development and/or test environments.
- Bachelorβs degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics.
- Strong application of engineering fundamentals in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and experience working collaboratively.
- Ability to execute high-ownership projects on ambitious schedules, including when unconventional solutions are needed.
- Self-directed approach with willingness to learn about interfacing systems and lead projects to completion.
Nice to have
- Exposure to test operations environments.
- Working knowledge of combustion devices, valves, heat exchangers, or instrumentation.
- Prior aerospace experience is helpful but not required.
