Engineer, Data (Healthcare)

Location: Remote across the United States; travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

Salary: $101,600–$144,900 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Serve as a healthcare data subject matter expert during new client implementations.
• Work directly with client stakeholders to validate data, troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and confirm successful implementations.
• Validate healthcare datasets for quality, integrity, and readiness for analytics and operational use.
• Translate healthcare and EMR requirements into technical solutions and support Azure-based integrations and pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and implementation teams to resolve data issues and improve validation standards and documentation.
• Support the adoption of AI and machine learning tools for healthcare data validation and implementation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare data experience, including healthcare-specific data structures and terminology.
• Hands-on experience with EMR systems; Meditech experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or implementation-focused roles, with strong communication skills.
• Technical experience with SQL, data validation, Azure tools such as Data Factory or Databricks, and Python or equivalent scripting languages.

Nice to have

• Experience with Meditech.
• Interest in or exposure to AI and machine learning tools applied to healthcare data.
