Facility Operations Specialist (Radioisotope Production): Supporting safe and reliable operations at an onsite radioisotope production laboratory with an accent on facility operations, radiological protection, maintenance, security, and material handling. Focus on performing surveys and contamination monitoring, coordinating equipment and facility upgrades, maintaining operational readiness, and responding to emergent conditions.
Location: Onsite in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States. The position may involve access to information subject to U.S. export control laws; only applicants meeting the definition of a U.S. person under applicable laws may be eligible.
Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do
- Support daily auxiliary operations, routine operating evolutions, maintenance coordination, and facility readiness.
- Perform trained radiological protection activities, including surveys, access control, contamination monitoring, and documentation.
- Execute designated security functions and support industrial safety programs, hazard controls, and housekeeping.
- Receive, stage, store, track, and maintain accountability for equipment and materials.
- Assist with equipment installation, clean room and HVAC upgrades, confinement setup, and contractor oversight.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, lifts, carts, and other material-handling equipment as qualified; respond to abnormal or emergent conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work onsite and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing and lifting in an industrial environment.
- Ability to perform cross-functional duties across operations, radiological protection, security, and administration.
- Forklift or material-handling equipment experience, or ability to qualify.
- U.S. person eligibility may be required under applicable U.S. export control laws.
Nice to have
- Technical training, an associate degree, or equivalent experience.
- Radioisotope research and test facility experience.
- Project management experience and strong organization skills.
