Senior/Staff/Principal Systems Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

What you will do

• Set the direction for systems engineering processes, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Define systems engineering objectives and roadmaps while resolving ambiguity in project scope, requirements, and priorities.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for complex and undefined scenarios.
• Collaborate with product, software, hardware, and operations teams to integrate systems solutions.
• Mentor less experienced systems engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Build systems engineering practices that support robust, scalable solutions aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related role, including senior or leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering methodology, requirements management, safety analysis, and system verification and validation.
• Experience designing and implementing systems engineering frameworks and processes.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as Polarian, DOORS, or Jama, and system modeling tools such as SysML or MagicDraw.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and safety standards such as ISO 26262 and SOTIF.

Nice to have

• Expertise in systems architecture, network infrastructure, and system integration.
• Experience with verification test case management, traceability tools, and simulation tools.
• Experience with distributed systems combining hardware, software, and cloud-based applications in engineering or robotics.
• Familiarity with INCOSE, ASEP, or CSEP certification.
