TL;DR
Automotive System Engineer (Autonomous Driving): Designing L2/L3 automotive-grade systems and integrating Wayve’s embodied AI autonomy solution into future OEM vehicle infrastructures with an accent on requirements engineering, data-driven scenario development, and vehicle integration. Focus on defining system architectures and test specifications, validating AI components in real-world conditions, and diagnosing complex vehicle system issues.

What you will do

  • Design L2/L3 automotive-grade systems and define how hirify.global’s autonomy solution integrates with future OEM vehicle infrastructures.
  • Define, manage, and maintain traceable system requirements for automated driving and ADAS products.
  • Create and validate real-world driving scenarios using data-driven development, KPIs, and behavioral specifications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, software developers, hardware, solutions, and architecture teams.
  • Support vehicle integration and perform hands-on system and vehicle-level testing, including HIL-related test specifications.
  • Diagnose system issues, coordinate problem resolution, and contribute to continuous improvements in L2+/L3 and ADAS technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, automotive development, or a related field.
  • Experience defining and managing requirements for complex systems, preferably in ADAS or automated driving.
  • Proficiency with requirements and systems engineering tools such as Jama, DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink, or Enterprise Architect.
  • Strong understanding of automotive sensors, software integration, vehicle dynamics, system validation, and real-world troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and hands-on engineering skills.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 and SOTIF automotive safety standards.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks, data-driven testing, KPI generation, and tracking.
  • Automotive software development experience with C/C++ and/or Python.
  • Experience validating AI components through edge-case scenario testing and robustness assessment.
