Company

hirify.global develops autonomous vehicle platforms and robotics systems.

What you will do

  • Own system-level requirements and architecture across compute, networking, sensors, telematics, power distribution, chassis, and powertrain.
  • Decompose vehicle-level requirements into subsystem and component requirements and document the rationale behind them.
  • Drive requirements capture, review, baselining, change control, traceability, and requirements-tooling decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews and orchestrate verification and validation with hardware, software/autonomy, functional safety, and test teams.
  • Support performance analysis, deviation analysis, structured testing, debugging, and system improvements.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for cross-domain issues during bring-up, DV, or on-vehicle testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience in automotive or similarly rigorous domains, including end-to-end ownership of an automotive program from requirements definition through DV, PV, and SOP.
  • Broad knowledge of vehicle hardware domains, including compute/SoCs, CAN/CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, cameras, radar, lidar, IMU, GNSS, telematics, HV/LV power distribution, chassis, and powertrain.
  • Experience writing clear, testable requirements and defending their rationale in cross-functional reviews.
  • Hands-on experience with design reviews, DFMEAs, and requirement-based verification and validation across multiple disciplines.
  • Practical knowledge of ISO 26262, HARA, safety goals, ASIL decomposition, and traceability from item definition to testing.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AV, robotaxi, autonomous trucking, or ADAS programs at an OEM or Tier-1 supplier.
  • Experience selecting, deploying, or replacing requirements-management tooling.
  • Exposure to HIL/SIL strategy and on-vehicle verification instrumentation.
  • Experience with powertrain, chassis, or HV traction systems on production vehicles.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time, on-site work with the Hardware Team.
  • Cross-functional collaboration across mechanical engineering, hardware, software/autonomy, functional safety, and testing.
  • Opportunity to define requirements processes and select tools in an environment not tied to Jama or DOORS.
