Senior Hardware Test Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Translate product and engineering requirements into verifiable test cases and comprehensive design verification plans.
• Develop and commission electromechanical test fixtures using load cells, dynamometers, slip rings, and custom data acquisition systems.
• Lead structural, thermal, mechatronic, environmental, lifecycle, and fatigue testing across components, sub-assemblies, and integrated humanoid systems.
• Build Python or C++ automation scripts and architect high-frequency DAQ systems for test execution and data collection.
• Analyze test data statistically to validate design margins and estimate component life expectancy.
• Lead hardware failure investigations using physical teardowns and data analysis, and provide feedback to mechanical and electrical design teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design verification testing.
• Experience in robotics, aerospace, automotive, advanced medical devices, or another hardware-intensive complex-systems industry.
• Practical experience testing BLDC motors, drivetrains, wire harnesses, and structural chassis components.
• Expertise with oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermal chambers, vibration tables, and DAQ platforms such as National Instruments/LabVIEW or Beckhoff.
• Strong Python or MATLAB skills for test automation and data parsing, plus CAD proficiency with SolidWorks or NX for test fixture design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
