TL;DR
Facility Operations Manager (Nuclear Operations): Overseeing daily operations, maintenance coordination, radiological controls, security, logistics, and facility readiness for a radioisotope production laboratory with an accent on regulatory compliance, industrial safety, and nuclear safety culture. Focus on coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supporting commissioning and infrastructure upgrades, and maintaining safe, reliable operations in a highly regulated environment.

Location: On-site in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States. Applicants must meet the definition of a U.S. person under applicable U.S. export control laws. Remote employees may be required to travel to headquarters in Santa Clara, California, but this role is on-site.

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead day-to-day facility operations in accordance with approved procedures, operational requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Coordinate maintenance, facility readiness, work planning, logistics, material handling, scheduling, and operational support.
  • Support radiological operations, contamination controls, industrial safety programs, security requirements, and nuclear safety culture.
  • Coordinate facility upgrades, equipment installations, clean room modifications, HVAC improvements, and contractor activities.
  • Oversee facility support personnel, contractors, and cross-functional teams across operations, engineering, radiation protection, maintenance, and security.
  • Maintain operational records, support audits and inspections, and contribute to commissioning, emergency preparedness, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, industrial technology, nuclear engineering, chemistry, health physics, or a related technical discipline; equivalent operational experience may be considered.
  • At least 10 years of experience in industrial facility operations, nuclear operations, radiological facilities, manufacturing operations, or related technical environments.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary activities in regulated or industrial environments.
  • Understanding of operational safety, facility maintenance coordination, work planning, procedural compliance, work control systems, and facility documentation.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Must meet the definition of a U.S. person under applicable U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

  • Experience with radioisotope production facilities, nuclear laboratories, research facilities, or radiological operations.
  • Experience with facility startup, commissioning, operational readiness, infrastructure improvements, or contractor coordination.
  • Experience with industrial safety, radiological controls, quality assurance, forklift or material handling operations, project management, or operations leadership.
