Founding Product Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California; four days a week in-office

Senior: $175,000–$225,000 base salary; Staff: $225,000–$275,000 base salary

hirify.global is building an AI platform for wealth professionals and financial advisors to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and quality of financial advice.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end product design for Hazel, covering administrative workflows such as notes, inbox, meetings, and tasks.
• Design specialized AI agents for financial planning, estate planning, investment analysis, and other complex knowledge-work workflows.
• Create interaction patterns for context capture, summarization, clarifying questions, automation, suggestions, permissions, handoffs, and user control.
• Make agent behavior transparent and trustworthy by communicating progress, uncertainty, rationale, and required user input.
• Design, test, and refine critical-path experiences in rapid feedback loops as AI capabilities evolve.
• Maintain the Ethos design system and contribute to product strategy in partnership with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Brand, users, and design partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience focused on complex, multi-step workflows and end-to-end ownership from discovery through launch.
• Strong interaction design fundamentals and a record of shipping real products.
• Systems-level thinking across broad, complex product surfaces and agent experiences.
• High standards for interaction design, UX writing, visual hierarchy, and product craft, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces with evolving constraints and rapidly changing AI capabilities.
• Portfolio must include clear, high-quality examples of shipped product work; credentials must be provided for password-protected portfolios.

Nice to have

• Ability to prototype or build with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing or building AI-powered or agentic products.
• Background in productivity tools, administrative workflows, financial planning, or advisor and knowledge-work software.
• Experience with design systems and front-end component libraries.
