Manufacturing Engineer - Weekend Shift (Robotics)

hirify.global is a defense startup developing autonomous robotic gun turrets that use computer vision and control systems to target small drones and loitering munitions.

What you will do

• Design and optimize manufacturing workflows, assembly methods, tooling, and automation for robotic system components.
• Use CAD/CAM, simulation, Minitab, and statistical process control to identify bottlenecks and improve cycle time and yield.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to apply Design for Manufacturability principles and transition prototypes to high-volume production.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D and Fishbone methods and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Set up, validate, and maintain CNC machines, test fixtures, and automated assembly lines.
• Conduct process capability, FMEA, Gauge R&R, and supplier process evaluations while tracking OEE, throughput, and scrap.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of manufacturing engineering experience in process design, equipment integration, and analysis within systems or electronics manufacturing.
• Expertise in root cause analysis, statistical tools, manufacturing equipment, process simulation, and metrology.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality management systems, production planning, and ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, communication, and independent working skills.
