Data Engineer

Location: Tartu or Tallinn, Estonia

What you will do

• Develop and support Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB databases.
• Build and maintain BigQuery tables on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and modify Apache Airflow pipelines and SQL transformations.
• Validate query results, resolve inconsistencies, and perform data quality checks.
• Document tables, DAGs, SQL logic, and data flows.
• Collaborate with reporting developers, analysts, and engineers through discussions, demos, retrospectives, and code reviews.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with database structures, design, and development.
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration principles.
• Knowledge of database design, data transformations, DDL, DML, views, and analytical queries.
• Ability to write clean SQL queries using joins, filters, and aggregates.
• Ability to write small Python scripts for data transformation and automation.
• Confident spoken and written English and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a data engineering-related field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Estonian.
