Manufacturing Engineer - 2nd Shift (Robotics)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; 2nd shift in an inspection lab and manufacturing setting.

What you will do

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes, workflow layouts, assembly methods, and automation integration for robotic system components.
• Use CAD/CAM software, simulation tools, Minitab, and statistical process control to identify bottlenecks and improve cycle time and yield.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to apply Design for Manufacturability principles and transition prototypes to high-volume production.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D and Fishbone methods, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Set up, validate, and maintain CNC machines, test fixtures, and automated assembly equipment.
• Conduct capability studies, FMEA, Gauge R&R studies, KPI tracking, supplier process integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of manufacturing engineering experience focused on process design, equipment integration, and analysis in systems or electronics manufacturing.
• Expertise in root cause analysis, statistical tools, manufacturing equipment, process simulation, and metrology.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality management systems, and production planning.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, communication, and independent working skills.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
