What you will do

• Lead commercial and contractual performance across the UK and West Europe projects portfolio, protecting and optimising margin.
• Provide senior authority on NEC and other engineering and construction contracts, including change, delay, payment, claims, liability, and disputes.
• Intervene in distressed or underperforming projects, assess commercial exposure, and implement recovery plans.
• Lead significant claims, negotiations, settlements, dispute preparation, and final-account activities.
• Own CVR, forecasting, month-end assurance, commercial governance, risk management, cash recovery, and supply-chain commercial strategy.
• Develop commercial standards, training, capability, and leadership across project commercial teams.

Requirements

• Extensive senior commercial leadership experience in engineering, construction, energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Expert practical knowledge of NEC, IChemE, JCT, FIDIC, and bespoke contract amendments.
• Experience managing project portfolios, protecting and recovering margin, and leading commercial intervention on distressed projects.
• Strong capability in CVR, EAC, forecasting, project financial management, claims, change, delay, disruption, and dispute resolution.
• Experience leading tenders, contract reviews, negotiations, settlements, supply-chain commercial management, and multi-project teams.
• Relevant degree and at least 10 years of professional experience in senior or management-level quantity surveying, commercial management, construction law, or a related discipline.
