Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor)

Salary: $79,500–$99,500 per year, depending on skills and experience

What you will do

• Design and develop polymer fluid-handling products, including valves, tubing, fittings, and related assemblies.
• Lead or co-lead technology development and new product introduction projects from concept through manufacturing release.
• Define specifications, evaluate manufacturability, build prototypes, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Plan and support equipment qualification, design verification, product testing, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Manage phase-gate processes, design reviews, DFMEA, schedules, resources, risks, costs, documentation, and supplier coordination.
• Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot mechanical and assembly problems, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• At least 2 years of directly related experience.
• Experience designing, fabricating, testing, and qualifying products or equipment, including hands-on machine shop experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical design, material properties, finite element analysis, thermal and fluid dynamics, kinematics, dynamics, dimensioning, and tolerancing.
• Proficiency with solid modeling and manufacturing drawings; experience with tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or ProE.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of semiconductor hardware, metrology, or manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with ANSYS, MATLAB, Minitab, Autodesk, or SAP PLM.
• Knowledge of plating, polishing, anodizing, finishing, and inspection processes.
