Thermal Systems Engineer (Spacecraft)

Location: Hybrid in Harwell, UK; Porto, Portugal; or Barcelona, Spain. Legal right to work in the chosen location is required.

What you will do

• Run the thermal work package for multiple satellite missions.
• Model and analyse spacecraft thermal behaviour and space thermal environments.
• Plan and conduct thermal tests from preparation through completion.
• Work hands-on during assembly, integration and testing (AIT).
• Support thermal anomaly resolution and collaborate with other subsystem engineers.
• Contribute to the product roadmap and continuous improvement of mission design and delivery.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of spacecraft thermal control and space thermal environments.
• Proficiency with thermal modelling tools such as ESATAN-TMS, Thermica, or Thermal Desktop.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver thermal tests end to end.
• Solid understanding of satellite subsystems and cross-disciplinary engineering.
• Knowledge of mission analysis and overall space system design.
• Legal right to work in the selected UK, Portuguese, or Spanish location; English application required.
