What you will do

  • Contribute to the end-to-end design of mission operations in alignment with spacecraft development schedules, system architectures, and requirements.
  • Develop operations concepts, spacecraft user manuals, flight rules, constraints, and standard operational documentation.
  • Design, validate, and maintain automated and manual flight procedures for nominal and contingency scenarios.
  • Develop operational tools, automation scripts, and databases for mission planning, telemetry analysis, command generation, and ground-station pass execution.
  • Execute routine and critical real-time spacecraft operations as a flight controller on a rotating shift team.
  • Plan orbital passes, monitor spacecraft health, analyse trends, and investigate anomalies to support mission success.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable satellite industry experience, preferably across the complete lifecycle of a Low Earth Orbit mission.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of satellite subsystems, particularly AOCS/GNC or OBDH.
  • Experience operating satellite ground systems, including procedure development, monitoring and control, mission planning, onboard software management, configuration management, and simulator facilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and disciplined during high-stress situations, identify problems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement timely solutions.
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to work effectively with limited supervision and as part of a team.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of ECSS, CCSDS, and PUS standards for spacecraft operations.
  • Experience with satellite assembly, integration, and testing processes.
  • Experience with formation-flying or close-proximity satellite operations.
  • Software coding experience.
  • Knowledge of flight dynamics and orbital mechanics.
