Facility Manager (Data Center)

What you will do

• Manage daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for cooling, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, security, automation, and control systems.
• Monitor facility capacity, environmental conditions, service levels, assets, and access points.
• Manage building services, subcontractor agreements, vendors, cable plant, fiber entrances, raised floors, and physical plant maintenance.
• Develop operational standards, maintenance schedules, emergency procedures, inventories, training materials, and service delivery manuals.
• Support customer implementations, review and close tickets, coordinate with Operations, Sales, Security, and Implementation leadership, and resolve security issues.
• Participate in a 24/7/365 rotation and work extended onsite hours during emergencies when required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical experience in a high-availability environment such as data centers, manufacturing, or hospitals.
• Extensive experience operating and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, paralleling gear, UPS systems, chillers, pumps, smoke detection, and fire alarm systems.
• Experience with cable plant design and management and building automation, monitoring, and control systems such as Trane Tracer Summit, Square D PowerLogic, Caterpillar/ISO Power Lynx, and Eaton Foreseer.
• Experience with energy audits and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, delegation, documentation, training, and customer service skills.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD and Visio experience.
• Certified Plant Engineer, Certified Plant Maintenance Manager, or similar facilities certification.
